Using our burn chamber, we test the flame retardancy of materials and substances installed in the passenger compartments of motor vehicles and buses – such as thermoplastics, duroplastics, elastomers in the form of fiber materials, coatings, adhesives, foams, molding compounds, impregnations, sheets, leather, deep-drawn and injection-molded parts, and similar materials, including their combinations.
There are numerous variations in the testing method, required limit values, and evaluation criteria. However, the technical execution of the burn test is consistent: It is carried out in accordance with DIN 75200 and complies with ISO 3795.
