Product Designer (m/f/d)

SaarGummi is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality sealing systems for the automotive industry. Our customers include almost all well-known automotive manufacturers. We attach particular importance to working in partnership with our customers and jointly developing tailored solutions from the initial idea through to implementation in the series production process.



Your tasks:

• Development/Design of moulded corners and extrusions according to 3D body data
• Creation of CAD models according to the specified design methodology
• Management of CAD data in Saargummi and customer-specific systems
• Project work with regard to on-site and in-house design
• Creation of customer drawings on site and in-house
• Coordination of CAD data exchange between SG, suppliers and customers
• Installation tests and evaluation of sealing systems at the customer's premises
• Carrying out development work on site at the customer's premises
• Supervision and technical support for internal and external tool production
• Construction of auxiliary and test equipment for checking sample and series parts
• Compliance with work instructions, occupational safety and environmental regulations

Your qualifications:

• At least 3 years of completed technical training
• Additional function-related further training (e.g. technician)
• Professional experience within the framework of the pay scale, min. 5 years
• Independent high-quality activities
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Specialized knowledge required (knowledge of the CAD system Catia V5, and/or Catia V6 or Siemens NX)
